The right pair of sunglasses contrasts your face rather than copying it. Angular frames add definition to soft features, and rounded frames soften strong ones. Here is how to tell your shape and what to try.
Find your shape in two minutes
Pull your hair back and look straight into a mirror. Notice where your face is widest. Cheeks: round. Forehead: heart. Jaw: square. Nowhere in particular: oval. If it is clearly longer than it is wide, it is long.
Round faces
Cheeks are the widest point, with a soft jaw. Angular frames add structure. Try a square acetate like Kabir or a geometric hexagon like Noor.
Oval faces
Slightly longer than wide and balanced, so most shapes work. Keep the frame no wider than your face. Mira and the oval metal Rio both sit well.
Square faces
A strong jaw and broad forehead. Oval and rounded frames soften the angles: Escape, Sable or Zaire.
Heart faces
Widest at the forehead, narrowing to the chin. Light, rimless or cat-eye frames balance the top of the face. Echo and Void were made for this.
Long faces
Noticeably longer than wide. Deeper lenses and squarer shapes shorten the face. Kabir, Mira or Zaire.

Every frame page carries a Suits line showing the face shapes it was made for, and the Find your fit page groups all thirteen by shape. Or send us a photo on Instagram at @irislane.in and we will suggest two.
