Find your fit

A frame looks best when it contrasts the face: angles on soft features, curves on strong ones. Find your shape below and see the frames we would start with. Every product page also ends with a size guide, and the same three numbers are printed inside the temple of any pair you already own.

Round

Cheeks are the widest point, with a soft jaw, and the face is about as wide as it is long. Angular frames add definition: Kabir, Mira, Noor, Aira, Auren.

Oval

A little longer than wide and balanced, with a chin slightly narrower than the forehead. Most shapes suit you; keep the frame no wider than your face. All thirteen frames work, starting with Rio, Mira and Eshar.

Square

A strong jaw and a broad forehead, with fairly straight sides. Oval and rounded frames soften the angles: Escape, Sable, Rio Black Gold, Rio Brown Gold, Eshar, Zaire, Echo, Void.

Heart

Widest at the forehead and cheekbones, narrowing to the chin. Light, rimless or cat-eye frames balance the top of the face: Echo, Void, Noor, Aira, Escape, Sable, Eshar, Rio.

Long

Noticeably longer than wide, often with a long chin or a high forehead. Deeper lenses and squarer shapes shorten the face: Kabir, Mira, Auren, Zaire.

Not sure of your shape?

Pull your hair back and look straight into a mirror. Notice where your face is widest: cheeks (round), forehead (heart), jaw (square), or nowhere in particular (oval). If it is clearly longer than it is wide, it is long. Still unsure? Send us a photo on Instagram at @irislane.in and we will suggest two frames.

Narrow, medium or wide?

Lens width plus bridge tells you how wide a frame sits. Narrow: Noor and Aira (45-19). Medium: Kabir, Mira, Auren, Eshar, Rio, Zaire. Wide: Echo, Escape, Sable, Void (58 mm lenses). Compare with the numbers inside the temple of a pair that fits you well.
